Stefanie LoSavio

Stefanie LoSavio is a board-certified psychologist and award-winning clinical trainer dedicated to ensuring individuals affected by trauma have access to treatments that work. Dr. LoSavio serves as Director of Research and Innovation for the STRONG STAR Training Initiative (SSTI), which provides competency-based training to community providers in evidence-based treatments for PTSD and suicide prevention. Dr. LoSavio trains an international audience in cognitive behavioral therapies for PTSD including cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and written exposure therapy (WET) through her work with SSTI and the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Dr. LoSavio is co-author of the award-winning CPT self-help book Getting Unstuck from PTSD. As a research investigator funded by the Department of Defense and National Institute of Mental Health, Dr. LoSavio studies how to optimize patient treatment and provider training with adaptive and personalized regimens.
